A great website for beginning composters, it also includes very easy instructions for building a compact, inexpensive compost bin from a plastic trash can. Also has info on worm composting (vermiculture).

Worm Woman ~ http://www.wormwoman.com/
Worm Woman (Mary Appelhof) is the guru on using worms as composting agents (vermicomposting). She wrote the classic book, Worms Eat My Garbage, which is available through her website. Many libraries also own this book. Vermicomposting is great for people with no outdoor space for traditional composting since it's a way to compost indoors with very little space. It's also great for kids and anyone who enjoys having an interesting science experiment going on all the time in the house.
